Gulf Inland Contractors (GIC), a provider of inland marine and land construction services, has been in operation for over 30 years. In June 2016, Mr. Gene Caro purchased the company becoming the sole owner. Recently, GIC has undergone some major changes and continues to grow with new equipment, new services and a larger service reach throughout the southeastern United States.
Our business office is located in the industrial district of Houma near Prospect Street at 216 Industrial Avenue B. The company occupies 4.5 acres of land with 750 feet of direct access to the Intracoastal Canal along with a 7,500 square foot fabrication shop housing an overhead crane.
Gulf Inland Contractors is active in a number of areas in its capacity as an inland marine and construction company. We serve a diverse set of industries that are inclusive of but not limited to oil and gas companies, transmission companies, plants and refineries, municipalities, etc. This places us in a unique position where learning from one industry is used to solve problems in another.
Gulf Inland Contractors possesses a General Contractor’s License for Louisiana with a Heavy Construction Classification. GIC also has General Contractor’s Licenses for the following states: Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Texas.
